AC Milan Break Club Record to Sign PSG Striker Goncalo Ramos for £60m

AC Milan have shattered their own club transfer record by securing the signing of Paris Saint-Germain striker Goncalo Ramos in a deal worth around £60 million, Italian media report.

The 25-year-old Portugal international has put pen to paper on a contract running until 2031, arriving at the San Siro after netting 45 goals across three seasons for Paris Saint-Germain.

Italian outlets have indicated the fee surpasses 70 million euros — equivalent to approximately £60.2 million — making Ramos the most expensive player ever purchased by the Rossoneri.

Amorim's first signing as Milan head coach

The deal marks the first major piece of transfer business under new head coach Ruben Amorim, who joined Milan on a two-year contract after leaving Manchester United. Amorim was brought in to replace Massimiliano Allegri, who was dismissed following a catastrophic end-of-season collapse that saw Milan miss out on UEFA Champions League qualification.

The previous club record belonged to winger Rafael Leao, who cost Milan roughly £42 million when he arrived from Lille in 2019.

PSG plan further additions after Ramos departure

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain are pressing ahead with their summer rebuild. The club — guided by chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi, sporting adviser Luis Campos, and manager Luis Enrique — are targeting one or two high-profile arrivals to bolster a squad that claimed a second successive UEFA Champions League title and another Ligue 1 crown last season.

PSG have been strongly linked with RB Leipzig midfielder Yan Diomande, a player also coveted by Liverpool.

Departures could help balance the books at the Parc des Princes, with midfielder Lee Kang-in and forward Randal Kolo Muani both expected to move on before the window closes.
