AC Milan produced a dominant first-half display to crush city rivals Inter Milan 3-1 in the opening Milan derby of the Serie A season.

Christian Pulisic, Adrien Rabiot, and Diego Moreira all found the net before the break, giving Milan a commanding lead that Inter could not overturn despite pulling one back.

The result hands AC Milan a significant psychological edge in the city rivalry, with the three goals coming in a breathtaking opening 45 minutes that left Inter shell-shocked heading into the interval.

Pulisic continued his important contribution to Milan's campaign, while Rabiot's goal marked a notable moment for the French midfielder since joining the club. Moreira's strike rounded off a stunning half for the Rossoneri.

Inter managed to reduce the deficit, but the response came too late and with too little conviction to mount a genuine comeback against a Milan side that controlled the contest from the first whistle.
