Former Shooting Stars coach Fatai Amoo has backed Rangers International to claim a positive result against AS Sobemap in the second leg of their CAF Champions League first-round tie.
The two sides met on Sunday in Abeokuta, where the Nigerian champions were held to a 1-1 draw by the Benin Republic club. Rangers International, known as the Flying Antelopes, seized the initiative early and went ahead in the 23rd minute through Chidozie Iwundu. Sobemap, however, grew into the contest after the break and levelled the tie before the final whistle.
Amoo calls for greater clinical edge
Speaking to Completesports.com, Amoo expressed satisfaction with his compatriots' display despite the stalemate, pointing to the value of not losing on home soil.
