Arsenal are actively seeking to offload players this summer, with Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri among those the club have invited offers for, as sporting director Andrea Berta drives an ambitious sales programme.

Martinelli and Galatasaray

The Gunners have held discussions with Galatasaray over a number of potential transfers, with the Turkish club tabling a verbal offer of €45m (£38.5m) for Martinelli. However, the 25-year-old Brazil international is understood to be reluctant to make the move to Turkey.

Martinelli had attracted tentative interest from Paris Saint-Germain in recent weeks, but the French club have since turned their attention to other targets. Intriguingly, talks between Arsenal and Galatasaray also touched on the future of Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen.

European interest in Nwaneri

BBC Sport first reported in April that Arsenal would consider offers for English winger Nwaneri, 19, this summer. The England Under-21 international has drawn interest from across Europe, with AC Milan, Fulham, Red Bull Leipzig, and Borussia Dortmund all understood to be keen on securing his signature.

Berta driving sales at the Emirates

Berta — alongside his assistant Maurizio Michele — has been handed the remit of making Arsenal active sellers this transfer window, in addition to reinforcing the squad. Both men carry strong relationships in Turkey, connections they have already put to work in delivering deals this summer.

Belgium forward Leandro Trossard has already departed, joining Besiktas in a deal worth up to £17m. Combined with the sales of Jakub Kiwior, Christian Norgaard, and Karl Hein, Arsenal are on course to raise around £45m from outgoings so far.

Further departures on the horizon

Arsenal are in discussions with West Ham over a permanent deal for winger Reiss Nelson, a move that could bring in approximately £3m. Brazil striker Gabriel Jesus and Portugal midfielder Fabio Vieira are also available for transfer, while midfielder Martin Zubimendi is attracting interest from Spain.
