Arsenal Target Kenan Yildiz in Potential €100m Move Next Summer

1 hour ago·2 min

Arsenal are eyeing a blockbuster move for Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz, though a deal worth up to €100 million now appears more likely to materialise next summer than before this window closes.

The Gunners began preparations for their Premier League opener having brought in Bruno Guimaraes and Christos as the primary first-team additions of the summer, with Ezri Konsa also joining. Despite those arrivals, the club have remained active in their search for a marquee attacker — and Yildiz has long been at the top of that list.

Why a summer deal looks out of reach

According to a TuttoSport report relayed by Sport Witness, the timeline for any Yildiz transfer has shifted significantly. Juventus handed the Turkey international a new contract earlier this year, and with the transfer window running short, the Turin club would struggle to identify a suitable replacement in time — making an immediate sale highly unlikely.

Sport Witness noted: "With not long to go for the window to close, it would be difficult for Juventus to sell Yildiz. They don't have long to find a replacement, which will make things complex for Arsenal."

Manager Mikel Arteta is said to be focused on making the right signing rather than rushing a deal under deadline pressure. FourFourTwo understands Arsenal will only move for an attacker they consider a genuine upgrade on Gabriel Martinelli, who remains available for transfer. Yildiz is currently valued at €75 million by Transfermarkt, though reports suggest he could command a fee of around €100 million by next summer.

The Gunners have previously explored moves for Vinicius Jr and Morgan Rogers to fill the left-wing position, underlining just how long they have sought a difference-maker in that area of the pitch.

Gabriel Jesus future also uncertain

Arsenal are also working to resolve the situation around Gabriel Jesus, with Barcelona and Napoli both reported to be monitoring the Brazilian striker. Barcelona are understood to view Jesus as a potential alternative to Julian Alvarez — a transfer target they remain keen on — though the Alvarez negotiations are expected to run deep into the window. That uncertainty may ultimately keep Jesus at Arsenal beyond the deadline.

Arsenal kick off their Premier League season against Coventry City.
