Kwara United manager Suleiman Ashifat has chosen to look on the bright side following his side's 2-2 draw with Kano Pillars in the opening round of the 2026/2027 Euromatch–NPFL season at the Rashidi Yekini Mainbowl in Ilorin on Sunday.
Fighting spirit on show
Despite describing the result as disappointing, Ashifat pointed to the character his squad displayed in recovering from two goals down to claim a share of the spoils. He stressed that the performance carried added significance given how many new faces featured in the matchday squad.
