Taiwo Awoniyi found the net as Nottingham Forest wrapped up a commanding 3-0 victory over Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers in Portugal on Wednesday, continuing their pre-season build-up ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League campaign.

Igor Jesus opened the scoring with half-time approaching, putting the Reds in control before two rapid second-half goals sealed the result. Arnaud Kalimuendo struck first after the interval, with Awoniyi adding a third to secure Forest's second win of the pre-season training camp.

The result follows Saturday's 2-0 victory away to Notts County, giving manager Oliver Glasner back-to-back wins as his squad sharpens up in the Algarve.

Forest still have two fixtures remaining in Portugal. A behind-closed-doors clash against Vitória S.C. is scheduled before the Reds cap the camp with a showpiece tie against Sporting CP on Friday, 31 July.
