Folarin Balogun will be available for the United States when they face Belgium in the FIFA World Cup 2026 last-16 round, after FIFA suspended his one-match ban following a straight red card in the previous tie.

The 25-year-old striker received his marching orders for a foul on Bosnia-Herzegovina defender Tarik Muharemovic during the United States' 2-0 last-32 victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina. Under normal circumstances, that dismissal would have triggered an automatic one-game suspension.

However, FIFA announced the sanction will be placed on hold under the terms of its disciplinary code.
