BBC Name Robyn Cowen and Charlie Adam for Tunisia vs Japan World Cup Clash

The BBC has confirmed its commentary team for the FIFA World Cup Group F fixture between Tunisia and Japan at Estadio BBVA in Guadalupe, with Robyn Cowen leading coverage and former Scotland international Charlie Adam alongside her as co-commentator.
The match kicks off at 10pm local time — 5am in the UK — a scheduling reality that prompted the broadcaster to forgo a traditional studio setup. Rather than assembling a panel of pundits and a presenter, the BBC opted to go straight to live action from inside the ground.
What is at stake
The Group F encounter carries enormous weight, particularly for Tunisia. Having suffered a heavy defeat to Sweden in their opening match, the Eagles of Carthage face the prospect of elimination with a second consecutive loss. A new manager has been appointed since that opener, but the pressure remains severe.
Japan, meanwhile, head into the fixture in a far stronger position. A 2-2 draw against Netherlands already gives them a point on the board, and victory here would lift them level with the Dutch on four points at the summit of the group.
About the commentary duo
Cowen fronts the BBC's coverage as lead commentator, stepping into what is one of the tournament's more unusual broadcast slots given the pre-dawn UK kick-off.
Adam, who earned 26 caps for Scotland between 2007 and 2015, brings first-hand knowledge of the international game to the microphone. Away from broadcasting, he currently serves as a set-piece coach under manager David Moyes at Everton.
