Brighton & Hove Albion have decided that Zadok Yohanna will remain at the club throughout the 2026/27 season, shutting down speculation over a potential loan move for the teenage defender.
Reports had circulated this summer suggesting the 18-year-old could leave on a temporary basis, but the Seagulls are committed to keeping Yohanna in their squad and continuing his development at the Amex.
Yohanna arrived at Brighton last month from Swedish side AIK Stockholm in a deal valued at £21.5 million, with the club fending off interest from Newcastle United and Chelsea to secure his signature. The winger made a strong impression in Sweden, contributing five goals and four assists across 18 appearances for AIK.
Yohanna set to feature in pre-season
Greek journalist Dimitris Manakos has reported that Yohanna will take part in Brighton's pre-season preparations and is firmly included in Fabian Hurzeler's plans for the campaign ahead.
Hurzeler has been open about his eagerness to bring the youngster into the fold, making clear that Yohanna fits the vision he is building at the club.
