Brighton claimed a famous 1-0 victory over Manchester City, with Match of the Day pundits Danny Murphy and Stephan Warnock full of praise for the Seagulls' disciplined and tactically intelligent display.

Warnock highlighted the balance within the Brighton squad as a key factor in their ability to contain City and punish them on the counter, describing the performance as both brave and measured.

Murphy echoed those sentiments, noting that Brighton's approach was not merely defensive — they matched Manchester City for quality throughout large stretches of the match and were worthy winners on the night.

The result continues to underline Brighton's reputation as one of the most tactically sophisticated sides in the Premier League, capable of competing with and defeating the division's elite clubs.
