Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has acknowledged that taking Lamine Yamal off the pitch is a much easier decision when the teenager has already found the net — as the winger did in Saturday's commanding 6-1 LaLiga victory over Alavés at Spotify Camp Nou.

Yamal continued his remarkable form for Barcelona this season, contributing to the rout before Flick exercised the option to rest the young star during the contest. The German coach's candid admission reflects the delicate balance he must manage when handling one of world football's most exciting talents.

The emphatic win keeps Barcelona in strong contention in LaLiga, with Flick's side delivering a performance of considerable quality against Alavés on home soil.
