CAF will stage the qualifier draws for two major tournaments — the TotalEnergies CAF Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations Egypt 2027 and the CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations Senegal 2026 — at its Cairo headquarters on Tuesday, 25 August, beginning at 14h00 local time (11h00 GMT).
Both draws will be broadcast live on CAF TV, giving football fans across the globe the chance to follow the action in real time.
The road to Los Angeles starts here
A total of 42 nations will enter the qualifier stage for the TotalEnergies CAF Under-23 AFCON Egypt 2027. The tournament doubles as the African pathway to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, with seven sides set to qualify from the continental competition and join hosts Egypt, who have already earned automatic entry to the finals.
The Under-23 draw is scheduled for 15h00 Cairo time (12h00 GMT), an hour after the Beach Soccer draw gets under way.
Beach Soccer places up for grabs
Sixteen nations will contest seven available spots at the CAF Beach Soccer AFCON Senegal 2026. Hosts Senegal have secured their berth at the finals, leaving the remaining places to be decided through the qualifier rounds. The Beach Soccer draw kicks off proceedings at 14h00 Cairo time (11h00 GMT).
