Manchester United have secured the signing of Cameroon international midfielder Carlos Baleba from Brighton in a deal worth up to £70m, with an initial fee of £65m and a further £5m in performance-related add-ons. Brighton also negotiated a sell-on clause as part of the agreement.
The 22-year-old has committed to a five-year contract at Old Trafford, with the option of a one-year extension, after United moved to reinforce a midfield that already welcomed Andrey Santos from Chelsea and Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa this summer.
