Celtic have secured former England international goalkeeper Sam Johnstone on a season-long loan deal from Wolverhampton Wanderers, bolstering their options between the posts.

The 33-year-old arrives at the Scottish champions to compete with Finland international Viljami Sinisalo for the number-one jersey. Johnstone earned the last of his four England caps in 2023 and made 17 appearances for Wolves last season before losing his starting spot in December. His final outing came in an FA Cup defeat to Liverpool in early March.
