Barcelona president Joan Laporta has made the club's ambitions for the season abundantly clear: lifting the UEFA Champions League trophy is the number one objective at Camp Nou.

Speaking to reporters, Laporta laid out a broad set of targets — but left no doubt about which competition sits at the top of the list. "Our goal is to win the Spanish league title for the third consecutive time. We also aim to defend the domestic cup title. Furthermore, we want to win the Super Cup to make a statement midway through the season and show that we are here to win La Liga," he said, as quoted by AS via News.am.

"And, of course, we want to win the Champions League. I would say the Champions League is the main goal," Laporta added.

Hunting a first European crown since 2015

Barcelona kicked off their European campaign on Wednesday, hosting Dutch side Feyenoord in the opening round of the Champions League. The Catalans are chasing their first continental crown since 2015 — a near decade-long wait that Laporta is determined to end this season.

With La Liga titles and domestic cups framed as supporting ambitions, it is the big-eared trophy that dominates the club's thinking heading into what promises to be a demanding campaign across multiple fronts.
