Nigeria head coach Éric Chelle has named a 25-man squad for the Super Eagles' upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against Tanzania's Taifa Stars.

Captain Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey, Ademola Lookman, and Moses Simon all feature among the familiar names, with goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali also retaining his place. Ola Aina, Taiwo Awoniyi, and Akor Adams have received call-ups alongside them.

Chelle has recalled Tochukwu Nnadi, Alhassan Yusuf, and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, all three returning from injury lay-offs. Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho is another notable name back in the fold.

The standout new inclusion is Slavia Prague midfielder Mubarak Suleiman, who earns his first senior international call-up.

Fixtures and group standing

Nigeria will host Tanzania in their Matchday Three clash at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday, 13 November, before heading to Dar es Salaam for the return fixture on Tuesday, 17 November.

The Super Eagles currently sit second in Group L. With only one qualification slot on offer, Nigeria will be under pressure to claim maximum points from both matches and strengthen their bid for a place at the 2027 AFCON finals — co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
