Chelsea have confirmed the arrival of striker Danny Welbeck, who has joined the club from Brighton on a two-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
The 35-year-old becomes the Blues' third summer signing, following Morgan Rogers' move from Aston Villa and Marco Palestra's arrival from Atalanta. Welbeck — a veteran of Manchester United and Arsenal — enjoyed the finest individual season of his career at Brighton last term, netting a career-high 13 Premier League goals in 37 appearances, with only three English players surpassing that tally in the division.
