Samuel Chukwueze came off the bench to deliver a decisive assist as AC Milan fought back from two goals down to hold Scottish champions Celtic to a 2-2 draw in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.

Celtic dominated the opening half, taking the lead in the 12th minute when Camilo Duran capitalised on a stray back-pass from Pavlovic to Lorenzo Torriani, firing home from close range. The Scottish side doubled their advantage in the 28th minute through James Forrest, again benefiting from defensive confusion — this time a misdirected back-pass from Samuele Ricci let Duran collect inside the box and square for Forrest, who converted despite heavy traffic in front of goal.

AC Milan head coach Ruben Amorim overhauled his entire starting eleven at half-time, with Chukwueze among those introduced. The response from the revamped side was immediate.

Camarda completes the comeback

Francesco Camarda made his mark within two minutes of the restart, winning a penalty and then dispatching it himself — a composed sidefoot finish into the top-right corner that brought Milan back to 2-1 in the 47th minute.

Chukwueze's influence grew as the half progressed. Camarda headed one of the Nigerian winger's crosses wide, but he made no such mistake in the 52nd minute. Chukwueze received the ball, beat his marker, and surged toward goal along the wing before whipping in a brilliant cross with the outside of his left foot. Camarda met it with a firm header to level the match at 2-2.

The fixture served as Celtic's final pre-season outing ahead of their league campaign, which begins in just over a week. For Milan, it was their first friendly of the summer under Amorim.
