Coventry City Sign Ethan Pinnock from Brentford in £6m Deal

Coventry City have completed the signing of Jamaica international Ethan Pinnock from Brentford, with the fee reported to be in the region of £6m.
The centre-back, now 33, spent six years at Brentford after joining from Barnsley in 2019, racking up 216 appearances and scoring 12 goals for the West London club.
Pinnock was entering the final year of his contract when Coventry moved to secure his services, making him their 10th signing of a busy summer window in which the Sky Blues have committed over £100m to squad investment.
Pinnock's excitement at the Premier League return
The Jamaican defender expressed enthusiasm about linking up with a club heading back to the top flight for the first time in 25 years.
"I'm really excited to join Coventry City and continue my footballing journey with this great club. After 25 years, the club are back in the Premier League, and I know how much it must mean to everyone involved. I can't wait to be part of it."
Pinnock was a key figure in Brentford's historic rise to the Premier League, though he found first-team opportunities increasingly limited last season, featuring on only eight occasions across all competitions.
A familiar face in the Sky Blues dressing room
He reunites at Coventry with former Brentford team-mate Frank Onyeka, who made the same cross-city switch earlier this summer.
Pinnock is the second defensive addition of the window, following the arrival of Aurele Amenda from Eintracht Frankfurt in July.
