Disasi Joins Crystal Palace on Loan From Chelsea

2 hours ago·1 min

Crystal Palace have bolstered their defensive ranks by bringing in Chelsea centre-back Axel Disasi on loan for the remainder of the 2026/27 season. The Europa Conference League champions confirmed the deal on Wednesday.

Disasi, 28, arrives at Selhurst Park with considerable pedigree. He was part of the France squad that reached the final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and he carries more than 300 senior club appearances to his name, among them 22 in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League combined.

A journey through French football

Raised in the suburbs of Paris, Disasi came through the ranks at Paris FC before earning a move to Reims, where he helped the club clinch the Ligue 2 title. His consistency there attracted Monaco, where he spent three seasons, scored on his debut, and made 129 appearances.

Chelsea signed him in 2023, and he has since accumulated 58 Premier League appearances across stints at Stamford Bridge, Aston Villa, and West Ham United. His time at Chelsea brought him a UEFA Conference League winners' medal — the same trophy Crystal Palace lifted to earn their place in Europe.

Disasi delighted to join Palace

The French international expressed his enthusiasm for the move, speaking on Crystal Palace's official website.
