Enciso Screamer Rescues Ipswich as Hull's Winless Run Reaches Seven Games

Julio Enciso produced a breathtaking long-range strike to earn Ipswich Town a 2-2 draw at Hull City on Saturday, extending the hosts' winless run in the Premier League to seven matches despite a determined second-half comeback from Sergej Jakirovic's side.
Florentino puts Ipswich in front
Ipswich dominated the opening period and took a deserved lead in the 22nd minute when Florentino — teed up by Abdoul Ouattara's incisive pass — drilled home his maiden Premier League goal. Hull were toothless in response, failing to register a single shot on target before the break as Gary O'Neil's side controlled proceedings with ease.
Hull flip the script after half-time
The hosts returned from the tunnel transformed. Tim Iroegbunam drew Hull level in the 58th minute, bursting through from the halfway line after a well-timed release from Oli McBurnie, before calmly sliding past goalkeeper Christian Walton. The momentum was firmly with Hull, and they completed the turnaround ten minutes later when McBurnie curled a superb low free-kick into the bottom corner — his first direct free-kick goal in the Premier League.
Enciso's moment of magic
Yet Ipswich refused to fold. In the 74th minute, Enciso collected the ball outside the penalty area, weaved through the Hull midfield, and unleashed an unstoppable left-footed effort into the top corner — a finish of the highest quality. It was his second Premier League goal of the season and one thoroughly in keeping with his reputation for audacious strikes from range.
Both sides pressed for a late winner in a frenetic closing spell, but the scoreline remained level. Ipswich have now accumulated eight points from losing positions in the Premier League this season — more than any other club in the division. For Hull, despite the character shown in turning the deficit around, a seventh consecutive game without a victory leaves Jakirovic's squad searching for answers.
