Nigerian right-back Kingsley Ehizibue has completed a move to Serie A club Genoa, linking up with the Ligurian side from fellow Italian top-flight outfit Udinese ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
A familiar league, a new chapter
Ehizibue, 31, spent four seasons at Udinese after arriving from Bundesliga side FC Cologne in 2022. During his time in Friuli, he made 119 appearances across all competitions, contributing four goals and two assists before making the switch to the Red and Blues.
The defender is set to begin training with his new teammates at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in the coming days.
Ehizibue's excitement at fresh start
The Nigerian international made no secret of his delight at joining Genoa, acknowledging that the move carries personal significance — having previously turned down the club's advances.
