Samuel Eto'o, president of the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT) and former striker for Barcelona, Inter Milan, and Chelsea, has thrown his weight behind FIFA president Gianni Infantino — declaring that the Swiss official has done nothing to warrant the growing calls for his resignation.
Speaking to CNN Sports, Eto'o dismissed the wave of criticism directed at Infantino as politically motivated, arguing that the timing of the backlash is no coincidence given an upcoming FIFA election.
