Ipswich have completed the signing of Dutch forward Zian Flemming from Burnley in a deal worth a reported £20 million, making him the club's 12th summer acquisition.

Flemming, 28, has committed to a four-year contract at Ipswich. The move comes after a productive campaign at Burnley, where he scored 11 league goals despite the club suffering relegation. He had also hit three goals in the opening four matches of the current season before the transfer was concluded.

Ipswich manager Gary O'Neil expressed his enthusiasm for the arrival, describing Flemming's debut season in English football's top flight as "impressive" and declaring himself "very pleased" to have secured the forward's signature.

He has good quality and experience and has started the new season well, so is a great addition to the group as we strengthen the squad further.

Flemming originally joined Burnley from Millwall for £7 million in 2025. Following Burnley's victory over West Ham in August, Burnley boss Nicky Yayen had publicly urged the forward to remain at the club — but ultimately could not keep him.

Flemming himself said he was "proud" to be joining Ipswich, a club that returned to the Premier League this season and opened with a 2-1 win over Sunderland before suffering a heavy 5-2 defeat to Manchester United at the weekend.
