ITV's Broadcast Team for Norway vs Senegal at World Cup 2026

ITV has confirmed the presenting, punditry, and commentary team that will guide UK viewers through Norway's clash with Senegal at the FIFA World Cup 2026 — a match that carries significant weight for both sides.
Both Norway and Senegal find themselves in a competitive group alongside France and Iraq, meaning every point is precious. Kick-off at the MetLife Stadium is scheduled for 1am UK time.
Laura Woods leads the studio
Presenter Laura Woods will front the ITV studio coverage, joined by two former internationals who bring considerable World Cup pedigree to the desk.
Patrick Vieira, the Senegal-born ex-midfielder who represented France with distinction, is one of the studio pundits. Vieira was part of the France squad that lifted the World Cup trophy in 1998, and will offer analysis on a match that intersects with his personal history in multiple ways — having represented his birthplace Senegal at youth level before committing to France.
Alongside Vieira will be Juan Mata, the former Chelsea and Manchester United playmaker who featured in Spain's triumphant 2010 World Cup campaign. Like Vieira, Mata arrives with a winner's medal in his collection and plenty of insight into the demands of tournament football.
The trio will dissect the key moments at both half-time and full-time.
Champion and McCoist on commentary
Jon Champion will handle play-by-play commentary duties from the MetLife Stadium, with Ally McCoist alongside him in the gantry. The pair have built a reputation as one of ITV's most popular commentary partnerships, widely appreciated for their energy and natural on-air chemistry.
