Maxence Lacroix has declared that lifting trophies is the driving force behind his £52 million move to Chelsea, insisting the ambition he shares with manager Enzo Maresca makes the club the right destination for him.
The France international completed his transfer from Crystal Palace on Thursday, signing a six-year contract that ties him to Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2032.
Trophy pedigree from Selhurst Park
Lacroix arrives in west London carrying medals from two productive seasons at Crystal Palace, where he collected the UEFA Conference League, the FA Cup, and the Community Shield. That winning record appears to have sharpened rather than satisfied his appetite.
