Leeds United Agree Free Transfer Deal for Fulham Forward Harry Wilson

Leeds United have agreed a long-term contract with Fulham attacker Harry Wilson, making the Wales international their first signing of the summer on a free transfer — though the deal remains subject to a medical and the formal completion of paperwork in the coming days.
Wilson, 29, is out of contract at Fulham next week, and the move represents a major coup for the Yorkshire club, who saw off competition from Premier League rivals to secure his signature.
A long-running pursuit finally pays off
The deal brings to an end a lengthy chase by Leeds, who tried to sign Wilson on deadline day last summer only for the transfer to fall through at the last moment.
Fulham had worked hard to keep their player of the season, offering him several contract extensions, but ultimately could not persuade him to stay. His departure leaves a significant hole in the Cottagers' attacking options.
Wilson delivered a standout campaign in 2024–25, registering 11 goals and eight assists across 38 appearances in all competitions — an average of one goal involvement every other game.
The Welsh winger originally joined Fulham from Liverpool in 2021 for £12 million.
Fulham's managerial situation
Wilson's exit comes at an unsettled moment for Fulham, who remain without a permanent manager following Marco Silva's departure to Benfica. The club are in advanced talks to appoint Alvaro Arbeloa — the former Liverpool defender who most recently served as interim head coach at Real Madrid — as their next boss.
