Liverpool moved up to fourth place in the Premier League table after a 2-0 victory over Brighton on Sunday, 25 October 2026.

The Reds dominated a Brighton side that had arrived at Anfield in impressive form, shutting out Fabian Hürzeler's team and converting their chances with clinical efficiency to secure all three points.

The result gives Liverpool genuine momentum in the top-four race, closing the gap on the sides above them and sending a firm message to their title rivals.

Brighton, despite coming into the match as one of the division's form teams, could not find a way through a resolute Liverpool defence and were unable to test the home goalkeeper on a frustrating afternoon on the south coast side.

The win underlines Liverpool's growing belief that they can challenge at the very summit of the Premier League — a competition that, heading into the final stretch of 2026, remains as tightly contested as ever.
