Mac Allister's Father Rules Out Liverpool Exit This Summer
Carlos Mac Allister, father and agent of Alexis Mac Allister, has moved to silence speculation about his son's future by confirming the Liverpool midfielder will remain at the club this summer.
Speaking to WinWin, Carlos was unequivocal: "My son will stay at Liverpool. We have not discussed any possibility of him leaving the club this summer." The family also confirmed there are no ongoing negotiations and no active transfer offers being pursued.
Real Madrid links dismissed
Alexis had been linked with a move to Real Madrid earlier in the transfer window, a rumour his father quickly dismissed. Further speculation of a possible exit surfaced more recently, prompting the family to issue an even firmer denial.
Iraola backs Mac Allister to stay
Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has been equally determined to hold on to the Argentina international. "I think Alexis has been one of the best players at the club for the last few years, and he has had a very good World Cup, so it is normal that other clubs want our best players," Iraola said.
"It always happens in other markets. But I want to keep my good players. I'm looking forward more to signing new players rather than losing the ones we have here."
A key figure at club and country
Mac Allister represented Argentina at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. He played an influential role as Argentina advanced to the final, where they fell 1-0 to Spain. The midfielder was also part of Argentina's triumphant 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign in Qatar, cementing his status as one of the most decorated players in the Liverpool squad.
