Manchester United Target Leicester Teenager Louis Page in Exciting Transfer Move

1 hour ago·2 min

Manchester United are in advanced discussions to secure the signing of Louis Page, the 18-year-old Leicester City midfielder who has been turning heads across English football.

Page, who celebrated his 18th birthday last month, claimed the EFL Apprentice of the Year award last season and is widely regarded as one of the most promising young talents outside the Premier League.

Despite his age, Page has already accumulated 21 senior appearances for Leicester City, including five starts during a difficult campaign that ended in relegation from the Championship. His most recent outing came in the Carabao Cup, as Leicester claimed a victory over Northampton on Saturday.

Competition at the top

Manchester United are not alone in their pursuit. Arsenal and Aston Villa have also expressed strong interest in the England Under-20 international in recent weeks, making this one of the more competitive recruitment battles of the current window.

Page could follow in the footsteps of fellow Leicester prospect Jeremy Monga — the 17-year-old forward who recently departed for Manchester City — as another academy product to leave the King Power Stadium for a bigger stage.

A long road at Leicester City

Page joined Leicester City at under-9 level and signed professional terms with the club in September 2025. At the time, Leicester described him as "one of the brightest talents in our system." He made his senior debut against Huddersfield Town in the Carabao Cup in August 2025.

Because he has signed a professional contract, Leicester City — now a League One club — are entitled to a transfer fee. Talks between the parties are understood to be continuing, with a resolution expected in the coming days.
