2 hours ago·1 min

Five of Nigeria's leading football supporters clubs have expressed their backing for the ongoing reforms in the country's football administration, while calling on authorities to ensure supporters are treated as genuine stakeholders — not sidelined observers.

The joint statement was issued at the National Stadium in Lagos by the presidents of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC), the Super Eagles Supporters Club (SESC), the Football Fans Club of Nigeria (FFCN), the All Sports Supporters Club (ASSC), and the Nigeria Eagles Supporters Club (NESC).

Praise for Tinubu and the NSC

The clubs directed their praise at President Bola Tinubu and the National Sports Commission (NSC), commending the directive for a comprehensive overhaul of Nigerian football governance. The reform drive has also drawn support from international bodies, including FIFA and CAF.
