Amas Obasogie has described his return to the Nigerian top flight as everything he hoped for, after Bendel Insurance dismantled Kun Khalifat 4-2 in a EuroMatch–NPFL 2026/2027 Matchday 3 fixture at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, on Sunday.

The 26-year-old goalkeeper — a Super Eagles stopper who previously plied his trade with Singida Black Stars FC in Tanzania and Fasil Kenema Sport Club in Ethiopia — had seen his reintegration into Bendel Insurance delayed by international clearance paperwork. The club moved to expedite the process, and the wait proved worthwhile.
