Osimhen Plays Full Match as Galatasaray Crush Stuttgart at RAMS Park

1 hour ago·1 min

Victor Osimhen played the full 90 minutes as Galatasaray swept Stuttgart aside with a commanding 2-0 win at RAMS Park on Tuesday night, recording their second victory of the UEFA Champions League campaign.

The Nigerian striker has now appeared in three matches for the Turkish champions in this season's competition, contributing one goal across those outings. However, the night belonged to Aleksey Batrakov, whose clinical double sealed the result before the quarter-hour mark.

Batrakov's blistering double

Batrakov broke the deadlock in the 12th minute, giving Galatasaray an early foothold in the contest. He then struck again in the 15th minute to put the match beyond Stuttgart's reach with the hosts barely out of the blocks.

The rapid-fire brace gave manager Okan Buruk's side full control of the encounter, and they did not relinquish it. Stuttgart offered little in response as the Turkish champions shut the game down with composed defending.

Building momentum in Europe

Tuesday's result followed Galatasaray's away triumph against French club Lille in matchday three, marking back-to-back wins that have given the Istanbul club genuine momentum in the group stage.

Osimhen, 27, will be eager to add to his tally as Galatasaray prepare for their next Champions League home fixture — a mouth-watering clash against Aston Villa on Tuesday, 24 November at RAMS Park.
