Moses Simon sat out the entirety of Saturday's Ligue 1 clash as Paris FC claimed a hard-earned 2-1 win over Strasbourg, leaving the Nigeria winger without a minute on the pitch.

The Super Eagles international has featured in four league games for Paris FC this season but is yet to find the net, and his push for a regular starting berth remains uphill as manager's tactical choices continue to leave him on the bench.

Paris FC in control from the off

The hosts wasted little time asserting themselves, with Ilan Kebbal opening the scoring in the 18th minute to send Paris FC into the break with a 1-0 advantage.

Strasbourg emerged from the dressing room intent on an equaliser, but their ambitions were quickly extinguished. Pablo Pagis doubled the home side's lead in the 57th minute, stretching the advantage to 2-0 and seemingly putting the result beyond doubt.

Late drama fails to deny Paris FC

Strasbourg refused to go quietly. An own goal from Paris FC defender Moustapha Mbow in the 88th minute handed the visitors a lifeline, setting up a tense five minutes of stoppage time.

Paris FC stood firm, however, seeing out the pressure to secure all three points and strengthen their position in the French top flight — while Simon watched every anxious moment from the dugout.
