Quarter-final absence confirmed

The Bayer Leverkusen centre-back will sit out Saturday's quarter-final against Norway, scheduled for 22:00 BST, as well as a potential semi-final against Argentina or Switzerland. Quansah, 23, would be eligible to return if England advance to the final in New Jersey on 19 July.

US President Donald Trump subsequently confirmed he had contacted Fifa president Gianni Infantino to request a review of Balogun's red card.
