France midfielder Adrien Rabiot declared that Morocco posed little danger during Les Bleus' commanding 2-0 FIFA World Cup 2026 quarter-final victory in Boston on Thursday, suggesting the Atlas Lions were rarely threatening when in possession.
The statistics supported Rabiot's assessment. Morocco managed only five shots across the entire match — just one of which was on target — compared to France's 22 attempts, eight of which tested the goalkeeper.
Rabiot's verdict on Morocco
Speaking after the final whistle, Rabiot said the French squad sensed early on that Morocco were not a genuine attacking threat when given space on the ball.
