Richarlison Omitted From Tottenham's Premier League Squad

Tottenham have removed Richarlison from their Premier League squad for the first half of the season, ending any prospect of the Brazil forward featuring in top-flight domestic football at the club in the near term.
Manager Roberto de Zerbi confirmed last week that Richarlison had requested a transfer, and the 29-year-old came close to reuniting with former club Everton ahead of Tuesday's transfer deadline — only for the deal to collapse at the final stage.
It is understood Richarlison no longer figures in Tottenham's plans, and the club communicated this to the player before the deadline passed. His exclusion from the squad makes his situation at the north London club untenable.
Despite the closure of the Premier League transfer window, a departure still looks likely. Transfer windows in Turkey and Saudi Arabia remain open, and Richarlison is expected to finalise a move in the coming days through one of those markets.
Richarlison originally joined Tottenham from Everton in the summer of 2022, having first moved to Goodison Park from Watford four years earlier in 2018.
