Richarlison's departure from Tottenham Hotspur remains uncertain, with the Brazilian forward edging closer to a move to Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor — but time is running out.
The 29-year-old had already turned down a return to Everton earlier this week, publicly announcing on social media that talks with his former club had collapsed. His attention has since shifted firmly to Trabzonspor, where Mohamed Salah — a figure he knows well from Premier League football — has already made a strong start this season, scoring three goals in three domestic appearances.
According to ESPN Brazil, Salah personally phoned Richarlison to encourage him to make the move to Turkey. The possibility of linking up with the Egyptian has reportedly added to Richarlison's desire to push the transfer through.
A deal with conditions still attached
Turkish transfer expert Yagiz Sabuncuoglu reported earlier this week that Richarlison had verbally agreed to join Trabzonspor. However, as of Thursday evening, the deal remained conditional. Writing on X, Sabuncuoglu explained that Trabzonspor must first move a foreign player out of their squad before the window closes — failing that, the transfer would be called off entirely.
