Sunderland and Crystal Palace Challenge Real Madrid and PSG in World Cup 2026 Goal Charts

Real Madrid top the club goal rankings at the FIFA World Cup 2026, but two unexpected Premier League sides are breathing down the necks of Europe's elite — and sitting ahead of far more glamorous English rivals.
Real Madrid and PSG dominate
Real Madrid lead all clubs with 11 goals at the tournament. Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior have each netted three times for France and Brazil respectively, with Jude Bellingham contributing two more for England. Arda Guler also scored for Turkey in their 3-2 victory over the United States, though that result proved insufficient to carry them into the knockout stage.
Paris Saint-Germain sit second on 10 goals, driven largely by Ousmane Dembele's four strikes. Bradley Barcola, Desire Doue, Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes, Joao Neves, and Ibrahim Mbaye have all added goals for their respective nations.
Sunderland and Crystal Palace spring a surprise
The clubs immediately behind PSG in the standings will raise eyebrows. Sunderland and Crystal Palace are level with Arsenal on seven goals apiece — a total that places all three Premier League clubs ahead of Liverpool on six, Newcastle and Manchester United on five, and Manchester City on four.
The combination of Sunderland and Crystal Palace outpacing sides of Liverpool's and Manchester City's stature is one of the more unlikely storylines of the group stage.
Liverpool lead the assists chart
While Liverpool's goal tally sits at six, their players top the assists rankings with 12 across the squad. Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz each have three assists, while Mohamed Salah — widely expected to leave Anfield this summer — has set up two goals. Ryan Gravenberch also has two assists, with Cody Gakpo and Virgil van Dijk each registering one.
The assist numbers, however, must be read with context. Of those Liverpool players, only Isak and Salah remain active at the tournament — with Sweden and Egypt respectively — after Germany and the Netherlands were both eliminated at the round of 32 stage.
