Super Eagles Winger Olakunle Olusegun Joins FC Rostov from Krasnodar

Nigerian winger Olakunle Olusegun has completed a move to FC Rostov in the Russian Premier League, departing fellow Russian club Krasnodar after four years in their system.
FC Rostov confirmed the transfer on their official website on Friday, describing it as a permanent deal agreed directly with Krasnodar.
"An agreement has been reached between our club and Krasnodar on the transfer of the Nigerian striker," the club wrote in their announcement.
Olusegun, 24, made 100 appearances for Krasnodar in total, contributing 12 goals and eight assists across his time at the club. He arrived at Krasnodar in 2021 after starting his professional career at Danish side Fremad Amager.
His most recent season was spent on loan at Nizhny Novgorod, where he netted five goals in 26 league outings.
Record-holder with a remarkable milestone
Olusegun holds a notable place in Russian football history — he scored the fastest goal ever recorded in the Russian Premier League, finding the net just nine seconds into a match against Rostov in October 2022. He now lines up for the very club he once stunned.
A former Nigeria Golden Eaglets player, Olusegun made his senior international debut for the Super Eagles in a friendly against Russia in June 2025.
