France midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni has praised Senegal as a genuine threat at World Cup 2026, warning that the African champions are capable of going deep into the tournament.
Senegal suffered a 3-1 defeat to France in their Group I opener at MetLife Stadium, but the result did little to dim Tchouaméni's admiration for the Teranga Lions. The Real Madrid midfielder, who completed three tackles and two interceptions during the match, said facing Senegal in person only reinforced what he already knew about their quality.
