Youri Tielemans has issued a public apology to Aston Villa supporters after comments he made during Manchester United's pre-season tour drew widespread criticism from the club's fanbase.

The Belgium midfielder, 29, completed a move to Old Trafford this summer when United activated a £35 million release clause in his contract, securing him on a five-year deal through to 2031. He had spent three years at Villa Park following his arrival from Leicester City in 2023, making 134 appearances and contributing 10 goals.
