Tottenham Eye Three More Forwards Including Savinho, Gakpo, and Marmoush

Tottenham Hotspur are targeting up to three new attacking signings before the summer transfer window closes, with Savinho, Cody Gakpo, and Omar Marmoush among the names under consideration.

Savinho and Gakpo at the top of the list

Spurs' preference is to secure Savinho from Manchester City, Cody Gakpo from Liverpool, and a dedicated centre-forward — three additions that would complete a significant overhaul of their attacking unit. Pedro Neto at Chelsea has also attracted interest should their primary targets prove unattainable.

Savinho is understood to be open to a move to north London, but Manchester City will not sanction his departure until they identify a suitable replacement. The club have already dealt with the exits of Rodri and Tijjani Reijnders in the space of a week, complicating their planning further.

Tottenham are also keeping a close eye on Liverpool's transfer activity before making a formal approach for Gakpo. Spurs are waiting to see whether Liverpool complete the signings of Bradley Barcola and, potentially, his Paris Saint-Germain team-mate Ibrahim Mbaye — moves that would free Gakpo to leave Anfield.

A centre-forward remains the priority

Beyond the wide positions, Tottenham are determined to land a natural goalscoring centre-forward. Gakpo has been considered as an option at No 9 under manager Roberto De Zerbi, though that role is not his primary function in their plans. Manchester City's Marmoush represents another possibility, although, as with Savinho, City would require a replacement before agreeing to sell.

There has been speculation that Gakpo could fill the No 9 role, but Spurs' sporting hierarchy view a true striker as a distinct necessity — someone capable of both leading the line and linking the forward unit.

A summer of enormous spending

Should all three deals materialise, Tottenham would have completed as many as nine first-team signings this summer. The club have already spent more than £200m, with the bulk of that outlay directed at midfield. Sandro Tonali arrived from Newcastle United and Matheus Fernandes from West Ham United, with the pair costing a combined £185m.

In defence, Jan Paul van Hecke joined from Brighton & Hove Albion for £52m to fill the void left by Cristian Romero's departure. Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson, and Martin Dubravka all arrived on free transfers, adding depth across the squad without further impact on the transfer budget.
