Tottenham Sign Marmoush on Loan With £60m Obligation to Buy

1 hour ago·1 min

Tottenham have confirmed the arrival of Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush on an initial loan deal, with an obligation to buy the Egypt international worth £60m embedded in the agreement.

Sky Sports News understands the total fee is structured as a £50m guaranteed payment, with a further £10m available in performance-related add-ons. The deal represents one of the more significant pieces of business completed this window by Roberto De Zerbi's side.

No sell-on clause for Frankfurt

Eintracht Frankfurt, the club that sold Marmoush to Manchester City in January 2025, will not receive a cut of the transfer fee despite some reports suggesting otherwise. The German club secured their desired guaranteed fee at the point of sale, along with additional bonus payments.

Crucially, the deal contained very few payment instalments, meaning City had already fulfilled all outstanding financial obligations to Frankfurt before this move was agreed.

Marmoush follows Savio to Spurs

The forward becomes the second high-profile arrival at Spurs this week, following Brazil winger Savio, who completed an £85m permanent transfer from Manchester City on Tuesday. Both players were teammates at the Etihad Stadium before making the switch to north London under De Zerbi.
