Trabzonspor President Doğan Rules Out Paul Onuachu Sale
Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan has shut down speculation over the future of striker Paul Onuachu, insisting the Nigerian international will not be leaving the club.
Onuachu has attracted significant interest from Saudi Arabia, and rumours of a potential exit intensified following Trabzonspor's signing of Guinea-Bissau forward Franculino Djú from Danish club FC Midtjylland.
Doğan's firm stance
Speaking to marasbugun.com.tr, Doğan made his position clear: "There is no question of Paul Onuachu leaving. He is the league's top scorer; such a situation is out of the question."
The 32-year-old finished as joint-top scorer in the Turkish Super Lig last season, netting 22 goals — level with Istanbul Başakşehir's Shomodruv, who matched him goal for goal across the campaign.
Slow start to the season
Despite his prolific form last term, Onuachu is yet to find the net in five appearances across all competitions so far this season. The club's president remains unbothered, however, with Doğan's message leaving no room for doubt: the Black Sea Storm have no intention of letting their star striker go.
