Super Eagles midfielder Alhassan Yusuf has earned MLS Player of the Week honours after a stunning hat-trick performance for New England Revolution in their 3-0 demolition of D.C. United on Wednesday.

Yusuf wasted no time making his mark, netting twice before half-time to put Marko Mitrović's side in command. He then completed the treble six minutes after the hour mark, putting the result beyond doubt and delivering three points for the visitors.

The comprehensive victory brought an end to New England Revolution's three-game winless streak, providing a timely boost to their Eastern Conference campaign. The Revs now sit fourth in the Eastern Conference standings with 33 points from 20 matches.

With those three goals, Yusuf has accumulated five goals and two assists across 20 league appearances this season — a return that underlines his growing importance to the Revolution's midfield engine.
