Arsenal have completed the signing of Greek winger Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge for £34 million, bringing in an attacking reinforcement following the departure of Leandro Trossard to Besiktas earlier this month.

The 24-year-old, a full international for Greece, has penned a long-term deal with the Premier League champions. Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta described Tzolis as an "extremely versatile attacking player" who is equally at home anywhere across the front line, though he is most natural on the left.

"He's an excellent finisher with both feet, thrives in tight spaces, and possesses incredible technical ability," Berta said. "Christos has produced outstanding numbers in terms of goals and assists over the last three seasons, and he's a player who will raise the technical level of our squad, while bringing positive energy, enthusiasm, and a strong mentality to our team."

Tzolis compiled an impressive record at Club Brugge, scoring 43 goals and contributing 45 assists across 108 appearances — figures that attracted considerable interest from across Europe.

A familiar stage for the Greek winger

The winger began his career at PAOK before moving to Norwich, where he made 30 appearances between 2021 and 2024 and scored three goals. During that spell, he also had loan stints at Twente and Fortuna Dusseldorf. It was at Norwich that Tzolis made his Premier League debut — a 1-0 defeat away at Arsenal in September 2021.

Now returning to England as a Gunner, Tzolis said a conversation with manager Mikel Arteta convinced him the move was right. "We talked about everything — about the club, about myself, about his plans, about the team," Tzolis said. "It was only positive things."

The Greek forward left no doubt about his intentions on the pitch. "I'm a direct player, I go for goals or assists. That's my point of view as an attacker, as a winger," he said. "I'm always hungry to score or to give the final pass to my team-mates. And I can say I work hard for the team, also in the defensive part."
