Arteta Gives Fitness Updates on Saka, Saliba, and Konsa Before Hull City Clash

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has delivered fitness updates on Bukayo Saka, William Saliba, and Ezri Konsa ahead of Saturday's home fixture against Hull City at Emirates Stadium.
Saka out for weeks
Arteta confirmed that Saka remains sidelined, with the winger having sustained an injury during Arsenal's 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich last month. The knock was serious enough to rule him out of Thomas Tuchel's first England squad, and the manager made clear there is no quick fix.
"We're talking obviously about weeks," Arteta said. "He's going to start hitting the pitch and start to have more activity and see how he feels, but unfortunately he's going to be out for a while."
Arteta was careful not to pile pressure on his player, noting that Saka is eager to return but that it remains early days in his recovery. Saka will not feature against Hull City and will also miss the forthcoming international break.
Saliba edges back into contention
Saliba made a return to the Arsenal bench earlier this season after a back injury sustained during international duty with France. Arteta confirmed the club has been in close communication with the French federation regarding his potential call-up for the international break — with Zinedine Zidane now in charge of Les Bleus.
"I know how much he loves to be around the national team, it's a new manager, a really exciting one as well, so whatever he's decided is fine for us," Arteta said.
Konsa cleared to face the Tigers
The only new fitness concern from Arsenal's 2-1 UEFA Champions League victory over Slavia Prague on Wednesday was a knock to Konsa's knee. However, Arteta confirmed the defender has recovered in time for the weekend.
"He's fine — he was feeling much better today. We took him out on Wednesday as a precaution, but yesterday and today he's been feeling good," the manager said.
Konsa is among five Arsenal players called up to England's squad alongside Ben White, Eberechi Eze, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and Declan Rice. Arteta expressed pride at the club's strong representation with the Three Lions.
"It's a proud thing to have a big English core in the national team from our club. It's something that is part of our identity — not only the number, but the players that represent us and the national team," he added.
