Former Arsenal defender William Gallas has warned that William Saliba could find it nearly impossible to reject an approach from Real Madrid, despite the French centre-back signing a contract extension that ties him to Arsenal until 2030.

Saliba, 25, is edging closer to a return to action ahead of Arsenal's upcoming fixture against Hull City this weekend, having been sidelined for the entire campaign so far with a back injury picked up at the World Cup.

Gallas questions Arsenal's pulling power

Speaking to SeatPick, Gallas challenged whether Arsenal's standing in the game would be enough to keep Saliba away from the Bernabéu. He acknowledged that many fans would take issue with his view, but stood firm on the matter of prestige.
